Introduction

This blog is my attempt at reading through scripture and applying my thoughts and reactions to each part.  I will also attempt to interpret and connect various passages of scripture.  I have big ideas for my blog.  Some include going through the entire Bible, writing on various topics, analyzing various songs and hymns sung in church to see how Biblical they really are, and various other ideas.  I will be reading the scriptures in order, front to back, and it will be easy to find specific posts on specific passages simply by looking at the dates and titles, sine I include the scripture in my daily reading posts.  I have a few topical post already, and I will index those here at the end of this posts as well as any other posts I do other than daily ready post.

Daily Reading

My daily readings are not quite so daily.  I have a goal that I can get through a chapter a day of scripture.  Both reading and studying.  Right now I typically do at least 3-4 days a week, but I need to do more.  I crave it, but other things seems to get in the way or I feel as though I want to do something else.

Topical Post

Every once and a while, I will have a particular topic on my mind.  I will write a post related to it on the blog, bringing in scriptures and arguments.  Sometimes, these posts are based on something I read or heard.  They may even be responses to comments or replies to emails.

Songs

I have a vision that I can take many popular songs sung in churches today and show how Biblical... or unbiblical they really are.  I want to take the songs line by line and verse by verse showing where the ideas or words are found in scripture.  I want our churches to sing songs full of meaning and truth and not simple repetitious tunes.

Book Reviews

My book reviews will not be very typical.  I post my first impressions of the book.  What I think I will like or dislike, then for each chapter or sections, I will write what I got out of the book.  I will also give my final conclusions on the book as well when I am completely finished.  I will tell where I agree and disagree, as well as bringing out scriptures that enhance what the book is trying to say.  I will also quote sections of the book that speak to me or have impact on my way of thinking.
